Picatinny Shim set with 3 sizes for offset correction
This shim set lets you fine-tune the lateral fit of red dots, scopes, and other rail-mounted accessories, compensating for the fact that different optics and mounts carry their own inherent width offsets.
It also works the other way: use it to dial in a controlled offset for more comfortable ergonomics. It’s a perfect fit for standard 20mm Picatinny rails paired with 22mm-rated optics or mounts, closing that 2mm gap for a tight, true fit.

Installation

Break off the shim
✂️ Snap or cut the desired shim from the break-away strip. Each strip contains 2x 1.0 mm, 1.25 mm, 1.50 mm thick shims.

Place the shim on the rail
Lay the shim flat on the Picatinny rail surface, directly under where your optic mount will sit. The cross-slot on the shim aligns with the rail’s transverse slots.

Mount your optic
Slide or snap the optic or mount over the shim and tighten as normal. The shim is captured between the rail and mount — no adhesive needed.

Zero and verify
With the optic mounted, zero at your preferred distance. If the point of impact is still off-axis after zeroing, try the next shim size up or down.

Why PLA?
Dimensional accuracy
PLA holds tight tolerances at the layer level, critical when 0.25 mm is the difference between sizes. Each shim is within ±0.05 mm of its stated thickness.
Compression resistance
These shims are fully enclosed once installed and protected from UV exposure. PLA does not bond with PETG, ensuring a clean, non-adhering fit within the rail system.
Optic Alignment Offset
A 22mm mounted optic on a 20mm rail creates a natural offset, which can lead to uneven alignment and reduced zero consistency without proper correction.
