The factory detent on the Umarex T4E HDP/TP50 Compact is one of the first wear items to degrade over time, which can lead to inconsistent round retention and reduced reliability. While upgraded detents are available for the full-size HDP/TP50, there has never been a dedicated replacement designed specifically for the HDP/TP50 Compact
This PRINT-FORCE detent is engineered exclusively for the Umarex T4E HDP/TP50 Compact and is manufactured from high-quality 95A TPU for the ideal balance of flexibility, durability, and grip. It securely retains each round while allowing smooth, consistent release during firing, helping maintain reliable feeding without unnecessary wear. For comparison, the original factory detent is shown alongside the PRINT-FORCE replacement.
Two detent sizes are available so the part can be matched to your setup. Choose 12.5 mm for the HD-24 tuning barrel, or 12.7 mm for the original stock barrel.

Installation

Ensure the marker is safe
Remove the CO₂ cartridge or make sure the marker is completely depressurized before installation. Always work on an unloaded marker. Then start by removing the screws from the polymer body to open the housing.

Disassemble Clamp Shell (Caution)
Carefully open the clamp shell. Be aware that once the metal shell is opened, the bolt spring and follower with spring may be under tension and can pop out. Control all parts carefully while opening the clamp shell to prevent loss or damage.

Install Detent
Remove your barrel and detent and replace it with the PRINT-FORCE detent. Ensure it is seated correctly over the barrel, then place the barrel and detent back into the clamp shell.

Reassemble & Function Check
Make sure the bolt spring, detent, and barrel are correctly seated and aligned before evenly tightening the clamp shell screws. Place the clamp shell assembly back inside the polymer grip/body. Reinstall the outer body and ensure all screws are correctly seated and aligned before fully tightening them.

Why 95A TPU?
Ideal Hardness
95A TPU provides the perfect middle ground between rigidity and flexibility. It is firm enough to hold the projectile securely in the chamber (preventing roll-outs) while remaining soft enough to deform slightly when the projectile is forced past it.
Low Friction
The flexible surface of 95A TPU allows the detent to retain the projectile without creating excessive resistance as it passes through. This helps support a smooth, consistent release during operation.
Superior Recovery
Unlike rigid plastics, 95A TPU is elastomeric and can flex as the projectile passes before returning to its original shape. This makes it well suited to a detent that must repeatedly deform during normal operation.
